Description: The Rotating Thin Film Oven (RTFO) is used to measure the resistance of the moving and thin-film semi-solid asphaltic materials/bitumen or bituminous binders to hardening under the combined effect of heat and air by RTFOT method.

The inner chamber is insulated with fiberglass and made of stainless steel.

There is a surveillance window for monitoring and tracking.

The Rotating Thin Film Oven (RTFO) must be connected to a suitable air compressor.

Control System is digital PID controlled and timed. It is circulating. There is a rotating motor (15 rpm), vertical platform and air intake for the compressor. Flow meter is available for adjusting the air flow.

The front cover of the Rotating Thin Film Oven is double glazed. Inner surface is made of stainless steel, outer surface is electrostatic powder painted.

Sensitive digital thermostat to maintain a temperature of 163 °C is supplied with 8 x 64 mm x 140 mm Glass Sample Cups.
